Anchoring
For five years, I explored the intimacy of the act of tattooing, at the time of its realization.
I would like to thank all the tattoo artists and all the people who had their skin inked for their welcome and the trust they have shown me by allowing me to create these images of a unique, secret but also completely ephemeral moment: l moment when the needle pierces the skin, letting the ink diffuse there, while a drop of blood escapes to the outside.
Thus the envelope of the body is modified to recreate an appearance and perhaps a new identity. We then go from inking to anchoring in the new self that we have just made for ourselves.

Claire Artemyz photographs prehistoric objects: Venus, bifaces, statuettes, engravings... with a very particular style between light and dark, sharpness and blur.
A work that gives an inimitable relief rendering.
